Elite and Masters 40+, Men and Women, will run a combined race at 2:00pm. The approx. race length will be 50 minutes.

There will be no equipment restrictions for U18, Masters 40+, and Masters 55+ participants. Fat and Plus bikes will be considered ineligible for Elite participants.

Put to use all the skills and endurance you’ve been improving over the course of the 2019 cycling season, or show up for the first time to see what the fun is all about Saturday October 19th. Polar Vortex is an 50 minute long, as close to regulation as we can make it, Cyclocross race. Cyclocross is a sport that involves completing as many laps within a time limit as possible. Laps are between 2.5-3.5 KM and include technical corners, man-made and natural barriers, and unique features that test rider's ability to mount and dismount, ride technical corners, and survive. ‘Cross is fun for all riders—racers complete as many laps as the can/want within the time period. Polar Vortex will feature prizes and treats from local businesses, and Chainwreck Awards will be handed out after the race.
